Question Bank Health

Question quality depends heavily on the information associated with each question. In addition to the question text itself, attributes such as topics, resources, difficulty level, and other metadata help PrimeExam select, organize, and analyze questions more effectively.

While it is not necessary to complete every attribute for every question, it is strongly recommended that question attributes be completed as fully as possible. Well-defined questions are easier to locate, categorize, maintain, and use when generating exams.

PrimeExam includes a Health Check feature that allows you to quickly identify questions that may be missing important information.

Using Health Check

To enable Health Check:

  1. Open the Question Bank window.
  2. Select a question bank.
  3. Check the Health Check checkbox located above the question list.

When Health Check is enabled, an indicator icon will appear to the left of questions that have incomplete information.

Health Indicators

Questions without a health indicator have all recommended attributes completed.

Viewing Missing Attributes

To see which attributes are missing:

  1. Enable Health Check.
  2. Move the mouse pointer over a question's health indicator.

A tooltip will display the attributes that are currently missing for that question.

Why Health Matters

Completing question attributes provides several benefits:

For best results, make a habit of completing question attributes whenever new questions are added to a question bank.
