The Review tab provides convenient access to previously published exams and answer keys.
Published exams are organized by exam and displayed in a browser-like view that allows you to navigate through the generated HTML and PDF files.
The Review tab is intended for reviewing, printing, and verifying published exams after the publishing process has completed.
Opening the Review Tab
To review previously published exams:
- Open the Exam Editor window.
- Select the Review tab.
- Navigate through the list of published exams displayed in the browser.
Each published exam appears as a folder containing the files generated during publishing.
Reviewing Published Exams
Select the desired exam from the list.
The Review tab displays links to the published files associated with that exam.
From there you can browse:
- Published HTML exams.
- Published PDF exams.
- Answer keys.
Viewing Answer Keys
Click the Keys folder to display the available answer keys.
Depending on the options selected during publishing, the following files may be available:
- HTML answer key for each generated form.
- PDF answer key for each generated form.
- Combined HTML answer key containing all generated forms.
- Combined PDF answer key containing all generated forms.
Answer keys may be viewed directly within the Review tab.
Viewing Published HTML Exams
Click the Publish Html folder.
Links to each generated HTML exam form are displayed.
Selecting one of these links opens the published HTML version of the exam for review.
HTML output is useful for quickly checking formatting and navigation.
Viewing Published PDF Exams
Click the Publish Pdf folder.
Links to each generated PDF form are displayed.
Selecting one of these links opens the published PDF file.
The PDF version is the preferred format for printing exams because it preserves page layout and formatting exactly as it was generated.
Printing Exams
Both HTML and PDF versions may be printed.
However, PDF is generally recommended because it provides the most consistent printing results across different printers and computers.
Answer keys may also be printed from either the HTML or PDF versions.
Verifying Published Exams
Before distributing an exam, it is good practice to review the published output.
In particular, verify:
- Question order.
- Question numbering.
- Images.
- Mathematical expressions.
- Page layout.
- Answer choices.
- Answer keys.
Reviewing the published exam before printing helps identify any formatting or layout issues while changes can still be made.
